Burbank is a city in southern Los Angeles County in Southern California situated north of downtown Los Angeles.
The city Incorporated on July 8, 1911.
As of the 2010 census, the city had a population of 103,340.
Burbank is bordered by Glendale to the east, North Hollywood and Toluca Lake on the west, and Griffith Park to the south.
It is 12 miles (19 km) northwest of Downtown Los Angeles.
According to the United States Census Bureau, Burbank has a total area of 17.4 square miles (45 km2). 17.4 square miles (45 km2) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.10 km2) of it (0.12%) is water.
