Canoga Park is in the City of Los Angeles in Los Angeles County in Southern California situated northwest of downtown Los Angeles. Part of it was founded in 1912 and named Owensmouth, later joining the City of Los Angeles in 1917 and then renamed Canoga Park on March 1, 1931.
As of the 2010 census, Canoga Park had a population of 48,272.
Canoga Park is bordered by Woodland Hills on the south, West Hills on the west, Chatsworth on the north and Winnetka on the east.
